Tom began his career as a lawyer-litigator and practiced law for over 30 years. In 1990, he expanded his practice into mediation and opened a dispute resolution firm joined by several retired judges. Fascinated by the dynamics and psychology of conflict management, he obtained a Masters Degree and a Ph.D. in Counseling with Honors from Loyola University. He is Professor Emeritus at Stevenson University and maintains a private practice in counseling and mediation in Ellicott City, Md.
